I started to take photographs using 35mm black and white infrared film on a project in college and have continued to use it ever since. It has a magical property that when used with an opaque filter over the lens of the camera allows the film to pick up light beyond the red end of the spectrum which results in vegetation appearing white when photographs are captured in bright sunlight.
